White Rabbit Presents: Stages of Wonderland
July 12th – August 19th 2017
Introducing a new phase of the White Rabbit Open Air Art Project: Stages of Wonderland. Stages explores the potential of works produced through the collaboration of installation art, musical performance, and videography.
Four videographers and four installation artists will be selected and pair with a band. Together they will create a spectacle for the White Rabbit Festival and a video conveying the magic created.
These teams will be formed and begin collaborating before the production period to familiarize with each other’s work and set their themes and artist goals.
The creation of the installation will occur at Red Clay Farm alongside the traditional White Rabbit Residency and both programs will culminate into the 9th annual White Rabbit Festival.
If you are interested in being a part of this project send us a brief proposal (max 1 page) including the following:
- How your proposed project or interests bring something special to the collaborative process
- How your work will interact with sound, performance, and surroundings
- Any materials and tools that you think you will need (we encourage projects that are harmonious with the environment, therefore please specify and justify the proposed use of any unnatural materials)
- A brief artist statement/bio including your current place of residence, examples of previous work, and current CV
Cost: Free. Artists will be provided with camping accommodations and meals at Red Clay Farm. They will also receive an honorarium, dependent on funding.
