JUNE 10th – 12th 2016
with Bill Wood and Rhys Bevan-John.
What if all the daily experiences of life and each plot point from every grand adventure were shuffled together? You’d get a deck of tarot cards.
Tarot can be seen as an early form of insight therapy, a way of interacting with the mystical and unseen realms, or a nice way to have a conversation about what is significant in life.
Using the Rider-Weight-Smith tarot deck and it’s classical meanings as a foundation Rhys and Bill will facilitate an exploration of the archetypes embedded in the cards.
The workshop will explore the concepts of the four suites and the major arcana through physical movement, games and open discussions with an eye to find the meaning of the cards as it applies to our own life path.
This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in Tarot, weather you’ve just bought your first deck or you’ve been reading for years, together we will learn more about ourselves and the cards. By the end of the weekend you will be ready to put the little book of meanings down and read from your heart.
Rhys and Bill are a long time comedic duo and the Co-Artistic Directors of Misery Loves Theatre Company. They share a deep passion for meaning and myth and every day magic as well as theatre and movement based therapy.
Cost $60, includes workshop fees and camping accommodations.
